About Dave King
Dave King is an award-winning landscape photographer hailing from Litchfield County, Connecticut. Renowned for his captivating landscape images, Dave's work reflects a profound appreciation for the natural world. While his primary focus is on landscape photography, his versatile talent extends to other photography genres, including night sky, seascapes, and more.
With a keen eye for detail and a passion for capturing the beauty of diverse environments, Dave has established himself as a recognized figure in the photography community. His work not only showcases the variety of landscapes of western Connecticut but also explores the intricate beauty found in other regions and subjects.
His photography was featured in an article on Connecticut radio station WRKI-FM's web site titled "Local Photographer Captures Beautiful Images Around New Milford" and on News 12 Connecticut.
His "Merwinsville Hotel at Christmas" photo was awarded 2nd Place in the 2024 Merwinsville Themed Art Competition and his photo, "Great American Solar Eclipse" won a second place ribbon in the People's Choice Award at the Sherman Arts Association 2024 August Light Exhibit. Dave's "Pastoral Summer Sunset" received an Honorary Mention at the Kent Art Association in 2024 and "Silhouette at Sunset" received an Honorable Mention at both the 2025 Great Hollow Nature Preserve Juried Art Show and the 2025 Kent Art Association Spring Juried Show. Dave's photo, "Dog Walker in the Snow" was selected from thousands of submissions and featured in the 2025 USA State Parks wall calendar.
