I captured this image of this racehorse and jockey at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, NY during the summer of 2023. I generally do not do sports photography, but I could not resist the spectacle of horse racing.

I shot this with a very fast shutter speed which captured all the detail of the horse and rider. I love the way you can see the expressions on both of their faces! The horse's hooves are kicking up the dirt and his tail is flying, showcasing the action of the horse race in progress.
