Artist's Description
I captured this image of Frankenstein Cliff along the Kancamagus Highway near Crawford Notch in Hart's Location, New Hampshire. The cliff is named after Godfrey Frankenstein, a German painter who frequently visited and painted the area. It has no connection to the fictional monster from Mary Shelley's novel.
I love this view of the rugged cliffs towering over the sea of autumn colors below which extend down to the base of the mountain.
Topping it off, a lone hawk soars in the sky enjoying the view.
