I don't photograph sports much, but I had the opportunity to photograph a weekend of rowing championships on Lake Waramaug in New Preston, Connecticut. Competing in the Regattas were schools from the Connecticut Public Schools Rowing Association and the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association.
In this photo, a team of rowers synchronizes their strokes as they glide across the water, with a coxswain leading from the stern. The serene backdrop of lush greenery contrasts with the dynamic energy of the athletes in motion.
