I captured this image early one morning just as the sun was rising over a vast field of daffodils in Litchfield, Connecticut. The dark ominous clouds provide a dramatic contrast to the colorful daffodils blooming below.
The hill of daffodils gently slopes down to a pond with an island containing more daffodils surrounded by water. The sunrise above has dense clouds casting a soft light over the scene.
This is one of my favorite locations to photograph in the Spring.
